Job Description:
Softrams is seeking to hire a Contracts Associate. The ideal candidate should be highly focused, detail oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-pace federal information technology environment. If you are looking for challenges, problem solving, and working with the a top notch business development team and latest in technology then Softrams has a spot for you. Although this role qualifies for a 100% remote outside of the Woodlawn, MD and Leesburg, VA area, preference will be given to candidates local to DC, VA and MD locations.

Duties & Responsibilities
.  Reporting to the Director of Contracts, perform a wide variety of contract administration functions, including:
  1. Administer contracts with the US government agencies, and with large and small business partners across the breadth of contract types.
  2. Assist with teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, subcontracts, and organizational conflict of interest plans.
  3. Assist with proposal development, cost strategies, modifications, review and negotiation of terms and conditions, and contract compliance.
  4. Review and analyze solicitations for potential risks and suggested proposal strategies, including compliance with requirements.
.  Support internal business development meetings, contract pre-award meetings, final negotiations, and draft/finalization of contract, to include performing risk analysis of RFPs  (identify risks and prepare mitigation strategies) and providing input for pricing strategies, prepare formal contract correspondence and ensure compliance with contract policies, procedures, and standard operating practices to provide successful proposal and contract execution.
.  Analyze, prepare and negotiate contractual agreements such as teaming, nondisclosure, Memorandum of Understandings/Memorandum of agreements and other binding agreements as the business opportunity presents.
.  Track and manage contract process from request to execution and ensuring contract pipeline/backlog is up to date
.  Capture key contract data and terms for each client contract
.  Generate ongoing and ad hoc internal reports on key contract data and maintaining the accuracy of contract files and data records
.  Coordinate all approval signatures for contract and compliance documents
.  Responsible for contract compliance reporting requirements as applicable
.  Responsible for audit participation as may be required to provide contractual documentation
.  Work with Director of Contracts to manage and improve the contract process
.  May perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
. Knowledge of government contracting principles, including but not limited to US government regulations and agency supplements, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
·   Knowledge of commercial contracting principles as pertaining to nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements and private sector contracts
. Certification from NCMA or similar organization is a plus
.  1-3 years of experience with government contract and subcontract administration, negotiations, and proposal preparation
.  Experience with all contract types, including Cost Plus, Fixed Price, Time & Materials, and Incentive fee
.  Experience with Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) terms and plans
.  Experience with reviewing terms and conditions and statements of work for areas of risk and risk mitigation in accordance with company policies and procedures
.  Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external clients through consistent communication and follow-up
· Ability to stay organized and manage time, in a busy environment with competing deadlines
.  Ability to obtain a Public Trust position
.  Bachelors degree

Additional Qualifications
.  Experience supporting government agencies preferred
.  Ability to work independently and take initiative to troubleshoot and problem solve
.  Possess a strong attention to detail
. Exceptional organization and time management skills
. Ability to research answers to questions related to federal, state, & local government regulations, and contract requirements
. Proficiency in the following software applications: Adobe Pro, MS Office™ (including Word, PowerPoint, & Excel), previous experience using a contract management software is a plus.
. Strong writing and communication skills
. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
. Ability to conduct business both in office and remotely
. Fluency in English Language

Work Location
Softrams is a 100% remote at the moment and we expect our employees to be onsite 2-3 times a week post-covid. Must be able to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD when onsite work resumes.
