The People Operations Associate will be the glue supporting processes and programs for the People & Culture Team. Work Location - This role is based out of one of our two main offices in Woodlawn, Maryland and will report to the Head of People Operations / People Operations Manager.

Main Responsibilities
  • Employee Onboarding - Ensuring great employee experience starting from employee onboarding process. The candidate will be responsible for smooth execution of employee onboarding and buddy program. Working with managers and IT Team, for a successful onboarding experience for a new employee. Responsible for conducting first day employee orientation presentation.
  • Support our People Operations engine - The candidate will work as part of the People Operations team of Softrams, to support employees, guide them on Softrams HR processes. Supporting logistics and system changes for employee transitions like new hires, and offboarding.  Assist with HR reporting and metrics.
  • Create or update written documentation and employee resources, including policies, learning aids, and fun stuff for employees. 
  • Support other initiatives within People & Culture and will work closely with Head of People Operations/ People Operations Manager, which may include Performance Management process, cross-departmental employee engagement initiatives, employee recognition programs.
  • Run logistics side of many of our programs, including registration, reminders, and tracking of attendance, feedback and maintaining metrics for learning and other HR programs. 
  • Build great relationships and collaborate with others on People & Culture team and as well as across the company.
  • The candidate will have to maintain complete confidentiality of all HR-related information available to them. 

Key skills and qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a Human Resources function; 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Candidate has experience conducting meetings and events via zoom
  • Ability to maintain employee confidentiality as well as HR confidential information.
  • Strong ability to efficiently organize and track projects and tasks; strong work ethic and ability to follow through; self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision. 
  • Curious, humble, excited to learn and contribute in a team environment
  • Creative and innovative to come up with ideas on employee engagement programs. 
  • Incredibly detail-oriented; able to input data accurately and track all tasks to completion
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to assist in drafting learning aids and HR policies as needed
  • Passion for leveraging systems and technology to improve the employee experience
  • Curiosity and excitement for multiple areas of Employee Experience/ Human Resources
  • Strong competence in Excel, Word, G Suite; competent in a variety of technology platforms; excellent attention to detail; 
  • Bonus: strong design skills for creating and updating presentations (PPT) or learning aids (Word, G Suite)

Preferred Experince
  • 2-3 years of experience in research regarding workforce matters, training and development.
  • Good knowledge of Maryland employment/labor laws.
  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow is preferred. 
  • Any Human Resource Certification is a plus.
